Happy birthday Felipe Albuquerque !
Felipe Albuquerque made his career breakthrough in Formula Renault 2.0 – champion of the Eurocup – and Formula Renault 3.5. He’s now competing in Endurance racing and celebrating his 30th birthday today.
After graduating from karting to Spanish Formula Three, Felipe Albuquerque made his career breakthrough in the Formula Renault 2.0, making his debut at Zolder. He competed in German Championship, Formula Renault 2.0 Northern European Cup and Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0, going on to win both international titles.
Thanks to a 500,000-euro grant he picked up from Renault Sport, the Portuguese driver made the step up to the Formula Renault 3.5 Series in 2007 and finished in 4th position. He then drove in GT class and DTM. Since 2014, he drives a LM P1 at the Le Mans 24 Hours.
