Renault Sport Track Days : Spa-Francorchamps
On Monday 24 April, over 120 R.S. customers gathered in Belgium’s Blue Ardennes for the second event of 2017. Diving deep into the R.S. world, they drove one of the most sublime tracks on the planet.
Motorsport fans invariably get goosebumps whenever they hear the names La Source, Eau Rouge and Les Combes. Pitching up in their Megane R.S., Clio R.S. and Twingo R.S., and signing up for the green, red or black groups, the participants in the second Renault Sport Track Day of 2017 experienced an adrenaline rush on the 7km F1 circuit in the heart of the Ardennes. A highly demanding track, it is both fast and technical.
Aside from driving and coaching sessions, the day’s schedule saw Renault Sport offer a variety of motorsport-themed activities based on its range of cars. Competing in Twingo GT challenge races and on a race simulator, our participants had the chance to win a Clio Cup hot lap with our two ambassadors, Jean Ragnotti and Margot Laffite, who were both present at the event.
Meanwhile, prospective customers gained an insight into the Renault Sport experience thanks to our test centre, where they could road test a Megane GT, enjoy some coaching in a Clio R.S. and then take a hot lap in a Clio Cup.
Specialist Renault Sport dealers Emocar of Verviers (near Liege) took up position in the paddock, showcasing the Renault Sport range, spare parts, branded products and much more besides, all available at preferential rates.
Finally, and in what has become a regular Track Day feature, Renault Sport’s experts engaged with customers in an open session and answered their burning questions.
As soon as the day was over, the most diligent drivers were already turning their thoughts to their next encounter with the tarmac : the Renault Sport Track Day at Le Circuit Paul Ricard (Le Castellet) on 13 May.
