A mainstay of the French Gravel Rally Championship since 2021, the Clio Trophy France Terre returns with a simpler, more compact, and even more affordable format.

Since its victorious debut at the 2020 Rally Mexico, Clio Rally5 has proven to be the ideal model on gravel thanks to its excellent balance of performance, reliability and accessibility. Launched in France in 2021, the Clio Trophy France Terre has helped nurture a host of talented drivers, including Quentin Ribaud, Florian Bouchonneau, Matteo Chatillon, Tom Pellerey and Mika Rasoamaromaka, all of whom have become official drivers.

Building on this momentum, the Viry-Châtillon customer racing department is confirming its commitment to this surface with a streamlined format. Designed to offer an even more attractive and affordable package on this training ground, the new formula will consist of three rallies, providing a rational programme with adjusted entry fees and revamped incentives.

The inaugural round of the Clio Trophy France Terre in 2021, the Rallye Terre de Castine, returns to the calendar to kick off the season. The crews will then head to Rallye Terre des Causses, a cornerstone round of the trophy, which has hosted the Clio Rally5 since 2022. Then, as every year from 2021 to 2024, Rallye Terre des Cardabelles will host the season finale. All competitors will battle in a single classification, and all results will count, reinforcing the importance of each event and each special stage where ‘Performer’ points will be up for grabs.

The Clio Trophy France Terre will retain its fundamentals with unrivalled support at this level of the pyramid. In particular, competitors will enjoy absolute fairness, both sporting and technical, with support provided by a dedicated engineer and a spare parts service at each round. The protagonists will benefit from an ideal environment to prove themselves or progress on gravel.

Also part of the French Gravel Rally Championship, the FFSA GT2i Gravel Trophy will continue its development in parallel with RC3 cars, including Clio Rally3. Launched in 2025 and organised across all rounds of the national championship, this competition saw the Renault model achieve a flawless performance, with its crews winning impressive bonuses across the seven events of the campaign.
