Customer Racing Activities – 2025/#20
This weekend, Clio Rally3, Clio Rally4, and Clio Rally5 proved their competitiveness and versatility at all levels and on all terrains in 17 different countries... For even more victories and successes to add to their tally !
CODASUR and Brazilian Rally Championships
Renault Clio enjoyed success in South America at the Erechim Rally Brasil. On home soil, Luis Eduardo Stedile - Luis Felipe Eckel (Clio Rally5) and Leandro Brustolin - Andrey Karpinski (Clio Rally4) secured a double podium finish in the Brazilian Rally Championship, and a one-two in "Rally 4". Leandro Brustolin also took top honours in CODASUR4 and Master CODASUR.
Cyprus Rally Championship
Winners of the first two rounds of the calendar, Petros Panteli and Antonis Chrysostomou finished runners-up in the Larnaca Rally to extend their lead in the championship. Only beaten by a Rally2 entry, the Cypriots continued their flawless run with the Clio Rally3 in RC3. Andreas Psaltis and Andreas Chrysostomou completed the one-two finish for the model in its class and the overall podium.
Czech Republic Rally Championship
Clio Rally4 and Clio Rally5 set the pace on the special stages of the Český Krumlov Rally, round two on the Czech calendar. Filip Ocelka and Tomáš Plachý secured their second RC4 victory this season to increase their championship lead. Meanwhile, Clio Rally5 scored another RC5 one-two finish on the national scene with the crews of Jakub Kořínek - Petr Cibulka and Martin Končal - František Končal.
Dutch and German Rally Championships
A fixture in both national championships, the ELE Rally saw Willem Wouter Overbeek and Joyce Ruiter lead a Clio Rally3 sweep of the top four in RC3, as they also won the Clio Rally Trophy round. Clio Rally4 also performed well, with Felix Schumann and Gino Kruhs finishing just off the two-wheel-drive podium. Max van Empel and Eddy Smeets led a Clio Rally5 lockout of the top five in RC5.
Ecuadorian Rally Championship
Juan Guerrero and Andrés Carpio caused a sensation on their Clio Rally3 debut in Ecuador. The duo battled with the Rally2 cars throughout the event before finishing second, just 1.2s behind the winners after more than 100 kilometres of action on gravel. The crew won the RC3 class, with the other Clio Rally3 driven by Diego Iñiguez and Micky Larrea completing the podium. Clio Rally5 also won in RC5 with Francisco Gonzalez and Fernando Gavilanes.
Finnish Rally Championship
Clio Rally4 impressed in Finland in round four of the season. On the gravel stages of the SM Red Devil Länsirannikon Ralli, the model won the SM3 class with Finnish driver Jarkko Nikara and Japanese co-driver Tomiya Maekawa. On the same roads, Clio Rally3 achieved a double podium finish in SM2 with the Finnish duo of Ville Vatanen and Jarno Ottman and the Italian crew of Valentino Ledda and Danilo Fappani.
Greek Rally Championship
Victorious at the Olympiako Rally, Clio Rally3 repeated its success on the gravel stages of Rally Stereas Elladas. In this round, considered a prologue to WRC’s Acropolis Rally, Paschalis Chatzimarkos and Mario Tsaousoglou set all the top times in their class to win in Rally3 and finish third overall. In their second outing with the Clio Rally3, Konstantinos Sioferos and Kyros Georgiou completed the one-two finish for the model in the Rally3 class.
Polish Rally Championship
Clio Rally4 shone on the Polish national scene with Sergiusz Janowski and Krzysztof Grzenia, who finished runners-up in the two-wheel drive category at the Rajd Nadwiślański. Clio Rally3 was less successful, with Michał Chorbiński and Adam Chrzanowski running sixth overall and leading their class until they retired in the Power Stage, just a few kilometres from the finish line.
Romanian Rally Championship
Clio Rally5 continued its impressive run in Romania with another victory in round two of the 2025 calendar. On the tarmac of the Raliul Maramureșului, Samuil Mircea and George Marinescu won in RO5 and the Clio Rally5 Challenge. They finished ahead of Andrei Alfred Bîrsan and Mihail Aurel Sandu, who came second in the Newcomers category.
Slovenian Rally Championship & Mitropa Rally Cup
At Rally Velenje, Hermann Gaßner Jr and Ursula Mayrhofer’s Clio Rally3 impressed to finish fourth overall and second in the Mitropa Rally Cup. Meanwhile, Mitja Glasenčnik and Matej Pistotnik’s Clio Rally3 won the D4 class and finished in the top five of the Slovenian entries. Clio Rally5 also triumphed with a class hat-trick led by Luka Brus and Tadej Zaljuberšek and a Junior podium for Mitja and Nina Velkavrh.
Turkish Rally Championship
The Turkish roads also smiled on Clio Rally3 and Clio Rally5 at Yeşil Bursa Rallisi, host to the season’s third round. Clio Rally3 continued its flawless run in the Women’s category with a third consecutive victory for Eda Soylu and Yusuf Çalik, who are now more than ever the championship leaders thanks to this success ahead of the Clio Rally5 of Sevcan Sagiroglu and Güray Akgün, first among the RC5s.
French Rally Cup
The string of successes continued in France. Clio Rally3 and Clio Rally5 set the pace at Rallye du Pays Viganais, with Warren Tribouillois - Benjamin Durand and Loan Guibal - Lohan Ranchard. There was another double win at Rallye Savoie Chautagne with Stéphane Vedelago - Stéphanie Latrémé, fifth overall, and Romain Fostier - Émeline Faivre. Lastly, Clio Rally4 and Clio Rally5 won Rallye du Val de Sèvre with Thomas Bordagaray - Antoine Loiseau, and Emmanuel Jarret - Dominique Jarret.
And elsewhere…
Clio Rally3 scored another impressive success with Carsten Mohe and Andrea Lieber, who finished second overall and won the RC3 category at the ADAC Lößnitzer Rallyesprint (Germany). Still in Europe, Matteo Giordano and Manuela Siragusa finished at the sharp end of a Clio Rally3 sweep of the top four in RC3 at the Rally Internazionale del Taro (Italy), where Clio Rally5 also won its class with Marco Nicoletti and Veronica Modolo, as well as the Women’s category with Silvia Franchini and Manuela Pellati. Also noteworthy were the victories of the Clio Rally5s driven by Jeroen Catelin and Jeffrey Vandenbussche at the ORC Canal Rally (Belgium), Salvatore Casarano and Gabriele Mergola in Rally del Salento (Italy) and Pedro Pereira Jr and Helena Maia in Rali Espumante do Dão (Portugal).
Across the Atlantic, Patrice and Nicolas Spitalier led a Clio Rally5 sweep of the RC5 class and finished sixth overall in the Rally of Nations Guanajuato (Mexico), whilst Horacio Cánepa and Ricardo Figueroa won their class with Clio Rally5 in the Rally Valle del Mantaro (Peru).
