Clio Cup Series

The Clio Cup Series reached the halfway point of the season this past weekend at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli. Round five of the season was full of twists and turns, with Gabriele Torelli and Gaël Castelli sharing the victories and closing the gap on David Pouget, who continues to lead an increasingly more competitive general classification. Gaël Castelli also got back on track in Clio Cup Italia, whilst David Pouget retained the lead in Clio Cup France.

World Rally Championship

Less than a year after its maiden victory on the world stage, Clio Rally3 scored its fifth win in WRC3. Japanese driver Takumi Matsushita and his Finnish co-driver Ville Mannisenmäki avoided the hazards of Rally Estonia to take the lead on the second leg and win by more than seven minutes. Less successful on Friday, the crews of Shotaro Goto and Jussi Lindberg, as well as Arthur Pelamourgues and Bastien Pouget, nevertheless contributed to the model’s total of ten stage wins on the gravel around Tartu and secured three Clio Rally3s in the top five.

Austrian Rally Championship

Clio Rally3 scored a RC3 1-2 finish at Rallye Weiz, round of the Austrian calendar. Tenth in the general classification, Günther Knobloch and Erik Fürst won the RC3 class ahead of Andreas Höfler and Gernot Hutter. Both crews also finished on the overall podium of the Austrian Rally Cup. Clio Rally4 distinguished itself in RC4 with a top-five result for Max Schumann and Ann Felke.
