Renault Clio strikes again at the four corners of the globe. With an overall title in Uruguay, victories in the French Cup and other successes in Germany, Croatia, Italy and Poland, Clio Rally3, Clio Rally4 and Clio Rally5 reasserted their status as references !
CODASUR & Uruguayan Rally Championships
Clio Rally4 and Clio Rally5 took several prestigious victories at Rally del Atlántico, whose special stages hosted the CODASUR, NACAM, Pan-American and Uruguayan Championships.
Luigi Contin and Cecilia Cedrés finished sixth overall to win the RC4, Rally4, CODASUR4, Pan-American4 and Pan-American Junior classes in their Clio Rally4. Federico Quintela and Joaquín Varela were not to be outdone, leading a sweep of the top seven in their Clio Rally5, winning the RC5 and RC4N/L categories. The two crews also led an impressive lockout of the overall top four for Renault in the Uruguayan national scene.
At the conclusion of this remarkable season, marked by six overall victories in eight starts for Clio Rally4 and Clio Rally5, Federico Quintela and Joaquín Varela won the Uruguayan Rally Championship with Clio Rally5.
French Rally Cup
Clio Rally3 and Clio Rally5 dominated their respective classes at Rallye du Bas-Vivarais. Aurélien Rouvier and Kévin Ollier set the pace in Rally3, whilst Patrice Vigouroux and Julien Bouvier led an all-Clio Rally5 top four in Rally5. Meanwhile, Frédéric and Valérie Misiek finished just off the podium in Rally4.
And elsewhere
Clio Rally3 starred in Croatia with Dario Merlić and Tomislav Osrečki winning at Rally Show Santa Domenica, whilst Marko Fakin and Aleksandar Radovčić scored a podium finish in their Clio Rally5. Clio Rally3 and Clio Rally5 also triumphed with Matteo Lusoli − Susy Giannasi and Andrea Addis − Gian Mario Fodde at the Cronoscalata di Tandalò (Italy). Still in Italy, Luigi Rainò and Maria Gravante finished eighth overall, first in their class, and reached the two-wheel drive final of the Master Show at the Event Show Pista Salentina with their Clio Rally5.
Meanwhile, Felix Schumann and Dunja Jordan finished on the RC4 podium in their Clio Rally4 at the Ried-Rallye-Sprint (Germany). Sergiusz Janowski and Krzysztof Grzenia did even better, finishing sixth overall and runner-up in their class at the Rajd Cieszyńska Barbórka (Poland) in their Clio Rally4.
