World Rally Championship

Four Clio Rally3s lined up at the start of the Secto Rally Finland for round ten of the FIA World Rally Championship. Among the crews competing in this legendary event, Jarkko Nikara and Tomiya Maekawa stood out, finishing fourth in WRC3. Despite a problem on SS3, the Finnish driver and his Japanese co-driver fought back, setting two fastest times to climb back to the foot of the podium. Rio Ogata and Mikael Korhonen, who also set a fastest time and finished in the top ten, as did the duo of Ville Pynnönen and Niklas Heino.

FFSA French Touring Car Championship

The recently homologated Renault Clio TC6 made its racing debut at the Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours with Charlie Fréard and Alain Cusimano behind the wheel for the WRM team. Based on a kit car, much like Clio Rally6, the model finished on the podium in its very first race with Charlie Fréard. The driver, who has competed in the Clio Ice Trophy, followed this up on Sunday with another third place in the TCA Light class.

German Rally Championship

Clio Rally3 and Clio Rally5 enjoyed new successes with victories for Austrians Maximilian Lichtenegger and Bernhard Ettel in RC3 and Danes Patrick Brill Clausen and Niklas Madsen in RC5 at the ADAC Mittelrhein Rally. Both crews won easily in their respective classes, whilst Clio Rally4 had to settle for sixth place in RC4 with Felix Schumann and Gino Kruhs.

Italian Rally Championship

Clio Rally5 added to its ever-impressive list of triumphs at Rally Regione Piemonte. Davide Nicelli and Martina Bertelegni dominated their class to secure their fourth victory in as many starts and become Italian Rally5 Champions with two rounds remaining on the calendar. In the CRZ category, Clio Rally3 won with Ennio Bini and Marta De Paoli, as did Clio Rally5 with Fabrizio Caveglia and Fabio Treccani.

French Rally Cup

The range also continued its successful summer in France. Guillaume Delobel and Jean-François Bernard were victorious in RC5 aboard their Clio Rally5 at Rallye de Fourmies en Avesnois, where Sylvain and Nicolas Fouteret finished on the podium in their Clio Rally4.

On the regional scene, Clio Rally3, Clio Rally4 and Clio Rally5 all triumphed at Rallye du Trièves with Jérémi Ancian - Sandra Cortinovis, Florian Picchioni - Manon Perrin and Bastien Duc - Matteo Guillot. Rallye de Basse-Normandie saw another triple victory with the Clio Rally3 of Guillaume Halbourg and Jules Meslin, the Clio Rally5 of Florian Alemany and Mathieu Mallet, and the Clio Rally6 of David Lekeu and Florentin Lekeu. Clio Rally4 and Clio Rally5 also claimed victory with Laurent Zambon - Amélie Zambon and Julien Toniutti - Guillaume Duplan at the Rallye des 4 Cantons, whilst Romain Bertrand and Bastien Masse added another victory to Clio Rally5’s list at the Rallye du Gap Racing.

And elsewhere

Clio Rally5 also proved its worth at Rali da Madeira (Portugal), where João Quintal and Paulo Freitas took top honours in RC5, whilst finishing second in the Madeira Junior Rally Championship and third in the Troféu Eng Rafael Costa. Elsewhere in Europe, the model set the pace with Giuseppe Mainolfi and Fiorentino Lucio Iscaro at the Rally del Matese (Italy) and with Alexander Kazmierzak and Niclas Zimmer at the Untergröninger ADAC Rallyesprint (Germany). Lastly, it is worth noting the fine performance of José Luis Moreno and Elizabeth Gallego with Clio Rally5 at the Blendio Cristian López Herrero Rally (Spain).
