From Monte Carlo to Oman via Latvia, Clio Rally3, Clio Rally4 and Clio Rally5 continue their winning start to the year on all surfaces !
World Rally Championship
Twelve months ago, Clio Rally3 began its world championship season with a win at the Monte Carlo Rally and repeated that perfect start this year. This edition, marked by treacherous conditions, saw Poland’s Błażej Gazda and Michał Jurgała manage their race brilliantly. They scored their first stage win on Thursday, took the RC3 lead in SS8 and reclaimed it for good in SS12. The Chmielewski Motorsport duo ultimately secured victory by 23.9s and finished over 12 minutes ahead of the WRC3 winners.
At the same time, Clio Rally5 won in RC5 for the sixth consecutive year. Unbeaten on the roads of Monte Carlo since its first appearance in 2021, the model won this year in the hands of Italy’s Giacomo Matteuzzi and Juri Frosini ahead of their countrymen Davide Cagni and Alessio Spezzani.
The Monte Carlo Rally also demonstrated all of the Clio range’s formative qualities. 2024 Clio Trophy France Asphalte title-winners, then 2025 WRC3 winners at the Monte Carlo Rally with Clio Rally3, Arthur Pelamourgues and Bastien Pouget finished ninth overall and third in their WRC2 debut.
Middle East Rally Championship
Clio Rally5 also starred on the continental stage at the Oman International Rally. Shadi El Fakih and Joseph Kmeid won the MERC4 and Rally5 classes at the opening round of the Middle East Rally Championship, while finishing ninth overall. The Lebanese crew put in a masterful performance to take the lead in their class in SS6 and hold on to it until the finish, beating two Rally4 competitors.
Latvian Rally Championship
Another Polish crew stood out last weekend with Clio Rally3. Competing in Rally Alūksne, the opening round of the Estonian and Latvian Rally Championship, Artur Długosz and Mateusz Martynek set two fastest times in their class on the snow-covered Latvian stages to finish runners-up in LRK3. The local pairing of Bruno Blumbergs and Emīls Blūms finished in the top five in LRC4 in their Clio Rally4.
And elsewhere
Clio Rally3 and Clio Rally4 were also in action on the snow in Finland at the Rantabaari Ralli. While Charles Tsjoen and Jarkko Miettinen got caught out on the opening special stage, Vilma Kivenne and Jasmin Heinonen enjoyed more success with two fastest times and second place in their class with Clio Rally4.
