A fixture since the introduction of Renault Clio Rally5 on French special stages, the Clio Trophy France is now gearing up for its seventh edition. The competition will continue to offer competitors the ideal setting in 2026, as they battle in five iconic rounds of the French Rally Championship.

The Clio Trophy France has become a real talent breeding ground since 2020. Many drivers who have passed through its service park are now competing in the premier category on the national scene or continuing their rise to international prominence. Building on its proven success with more than 100 crews competing throughout the season, the Clio Trophy France will preserve its DNA despite a thoroughly revised calendar for 2026.

A reworked calendar

Like this year, the Clio Trophy France will appear in five rounds of the French Rally Championship, and the four best results will determine the general classification. While continuity is the order of the day in sporting terms, with a scoring system that continues to reward the top 30 finishers and the five fastest drivers in each of the last ten special stages of each round, the calendar has undergone a significant overhaul.

The season will kick off at Rallye Le Touquet Pas-de-Calais, which returns to the place it occupied from 2021 to 2024. This event will establish the first rankings before the crews head to Rallye Vosges Grand Est, which will also be back after hosting the category in 2021 and 2024. Rallye Rouergue Rodez Aveyron Occitanie, home to many of the leading figures in French rallying, will mark the halfway point of the season.

After the summer break, the season resumes at Rallye Mont-Blanc Morzine, a must-see event due to its profile and history. Last but not least, the Critérium des Cévennes also returns to the programme for the conclusion of this campaign. Like this year, the final round will have a coefficient of 1.5 to test the nerve of the contenders in the last confrontation.

Strengthened foundations

The Clio Trophy France will further strengthen its position by continuing to ensure fairness for all participants. They will enjoy unrivalled technical support and services at this level, as well as competing in Renault Clio Rally5, a car renowned for its reliability, performance and affordability.

The prize system will retain its appeal across different classes : Overall, Juniors (under 30), Gentlemen (over 45), and Women. The Renault Network Challenge also returns to promote partnerships between drivers and a Renault group, dealership or agent. Over the five rounds, competitors will compete for more than €125,000 in spare parts vouchers and financial rewards, in addition to the end-of-season prizes. Cost control will also be prominent with an allocation still limited to eight Michelin tyres per rally, including the one offered as a starting bonus.

Renault and its partners Michelin and Sabelt will also continue their long-standing commitment to promoting young talent, with the best Junior driver at the end of the season being offered an official drive in 2027.

New dynamics on gravel

In parallel with the asphalt programme, the customer racing department in Viry-Châtillon is working to implement a new gravel format that will be more relevant and offer opportunities for competitors seeking to enhance their experience on this surface. Further details will be announced in the upcoming weeks.
