Clio Trophy France Asphalte & French Rally Championship

Victorious in the Vosges, Paul and Adèle Dachicourt resumed their march toward the summit as the Clio Trophy France Asphalte resumed. The Fun Meca Sport crew dominated Rallye Mont-Blanc Morzine, extending their lead in the general classification and the Juniors category, where an official programme is on offer. Romain Fostier - Ophélie Abchiche and Yohan Roumieux - Bastien Fontaine completed the podium. Clio Rally3 also continued its winning streak on the national scene with a clean sweep of the top six places in its class. Nicolas Morel and Ninon Curioz took the win ahead of Jean-Pierre Gatti and René Belleville, and Anthony Blanc-Gonnet and Marine Van Outryve.

Belgian Rally Championship

Clio Rally3 also enjoyed a successful return in Belgium, locking out the top five places at the Omloop van Vlaanderen. Benoit Verlinde and Bert Feys took the lead in RC3 on the tarmac roads around Roeselare from the outset and won by more than two minutes. They also finished in the overall top ten. Separated by just 0.018s, the crews of Thibaud Mazuin and Samuel Maillen, and Olivier Decoene and François Geerlandt, completed a podium dominated by Renault’s four-wheel-drive model.

Danish Rally Championship

Clio Rally3 and Clio Rally5 also enjoyed success in Denmark. Carsten Jensen and Michael Fasterholdt won to clinch the RC3 title, whilst remaining in contention for the Dansk Super Rally championship, to be decided at the Rally Stoholm on 3 October. Kim and Tobias Abildgaard put a second Renault model on the podium. Meanwhile, Jacob Pallesen and Kasper Pinholt led a Clio Rally5 sweep of the top six places in RC5. This success sees them retake the championship lead and take the top spot in the U28 (Juniors) category.

Greek Gravel Rally Championship

The Fthiotidos Rally, round three of the season, saw Clio Rally3 secure a double podium finish in RC3. With two stage wins, including the Power Stage, Cypriots Petros Panteli and Antonis Chrysostomou finished second, ahead of the other Renault driven by Efthimios Halkias and Marios Tsaoussoglou. All four crews competing in the car tackled an extremely gruelling route, further demonstrating – if any proof were needed – its reliability.

Romanian Rally Championship

Clio Rally5 picked up several trophies on the gravel stages of the Raliul Iașului. Dragoș Munteanu and Cristian Sugár secured victory to clinch the Clio Rally5 Challenge title ahead of the season finale. They also finished runner-up in RO5 and third in the Newcomers class, two categories in which they are still in title contention. Behind them, Ciprian Lupu and Andrei Aițculesei completed the model’s double podium finish in RO5.

Spanish Gravel Rally Championship

Clio Rally5 secured another victory on Spanish gravel at Rally Terra de Galicia. Julio Ramón Garcés and Ander García Garay enjoyed a comfortable win in their class. This victory sees the Spanish driver consolidate his lead in the Junior Trophy. On the same special stages, the Clio Rally4, with Jordi Nualart and Daniel Rivera, finished between two Rally3 cars in its class. The pair still lead the two-wheel-drive title race ahead of the final two rounds of the calendar.

French Rally Cup

All four versions of the Clio Rally were victorious at Rallye des Côtes de Lumière, with Antoine Bordagaray - Alan Autegarden, Thierry Landais - Morgan Lefebvre, Gabriel Thibaudeau - Enzo Bézinaud and Alizée Pottier - Luna Galleano. Clio Rally3 and Clio Rally5 also set the pace, with Emeric Pollet - Sylvia Pollet and Christophe Tramaloni - Patrick Guerrieri at Rallye de la Vésubie, as well as Guillaume Halbourg - Louise Leroux and Jérémy Schillewaert - Laure Schillewaert at Rallye du Bocage. Clio Rally4 and Clio Rally5 dominated their respective classes at Rallye Le Béthunois, with Anthony Dujardin - Angela Feuray and Rémy Morin - Sébastien Duthoit. Pierre-Marie and Nathalie Lacroix won at Rallye du Cantal aboard Clio Rally5, as did Kylian Lafond and Alexis Testud at Rallye du Picodon.

And elsewhere

Stefano Roncadori - Luca Silvi (Clio Rally3) and Kevin Caliaro - Fabio Andrian (Clio Rally5) took another step towards the title in their respective classes in the Italian Challenger Rally Championship with the win at Rally 1000 Miglia. Also in Italy, the two models triumphed at Rally Città di Torino e Valli Di Lanzo with Manuel Dublanc - Marco Bevilacqua (Rally3), Fabrizio Caveglia - Fabio Treccani (Rally5) and Giorgia Chiabodo - Vilma Grosso (Women’s class), as well as with Gianluca Caserza – Giulia Patrone and Ambrogio Adani – Chiara Crosa at Rally Val d’Aveto. Lastly, Maicol Noti and Elena Fiocco drove the Clio Rally5 to victory at Rally di Casciana Terme.

Among the weekend’s other standout performances, Maximilian Lichtenegger and Bernhard Ettel finished second overall in their Clio Rally3 at the Kumrovec Rally (Croatia). Winners in their class, the Austrians also picked up the win in CEZ2. Klaus Werner and Mika Jordan were also victorious with Clio Rally3 at round 11 of the Deutscher Rallye Cup at the ADAC Ladermanufaktur Rallye Ostwestfalen (Germany). Elsewhere, the model secured top-five finishes in the four-wheel-drive category with Mika Karppanen and Aino Riipinen at the Viihdekeskus Hojo Ralli (Finland) and with Isak Sjökvist and Simon Lindström at the Bresontrofén (Sweden).

Clio Rally4 impressed with a one-two finish from the pairs Felix Schumann - Gino Kruhs and Max Schumann - Ann Felke at Rallye de la Semois (Belgium). Nicolas Vanderweerde and Thierry Closter made it three Clio Rally4s in the overall top ten. Also worth noting was the podium result of Francesc Torrelles and Carlos Cánovas at the Abel Puig Memorial as part of the Catalan Rally Championship (Spain).

Clio Rally5 was not to be outdone, securing a one-two-three-four finish in RC5, led by Jiří Hladík and Veronika Teplá at the Vyškov Rally in the Czech Rallysprint Championship. This prolific weekend was rounded off by the Portuguese successes of Cristiano Gil and Luís Boiça at the O Neveiro e a Lã and of Vasco Tintim and Carlos Pereira at the Volta a Ilha São Miguel.
